NPfIT appoints senior executive to win “hearts and minds”

 

The Guardian reports that the NHS National Programme has appointed Alan Burns, a health authority Chief Executive, to win "hearts and minds" for the world’s largest civil IT project. This follows increasing debate over the past number of months on concerns raised about confidentiality, and the potential for boycott by the medical community.
